Winter turns the region into a paradise of snowmobilers, who can connect directly into maine's Interconnected Trail System.
This region has a rich history of paper making, lumbering, and native peoples. A number of area museums offer intriguing glimpses of past times. Whatever thrill you seek, the katahdin region is well stocked with adventures waiting to happen.
