Galen C.Moses House
1009 Washington Street Bath 04530 Phone : 207-442-8771 Historic Bath Maine invites the traveler to spend a few relaxing days strolling through the pleasant parks overlooking the Kennebec River or rummaging through the many antique stores on Front Street. Beach lovers will find two sandy state park beaches within a short drive. The nationally acclaimed Maritime Museum, The Chocolate Church or the Art Gallery of Bowdoin College furnish exciting diversions on a rainy afternoon while short drives to Portland, Wiscasset, Boothbay Harbor or Freeport (home of L.L. Bean) can satisfy every shopper's appetite. And speaking of appetites, the restaurants in the area serve marvelous seafood on tables overlooking the great bays and charming coves.A full breakfast is served each morning and varies according to the cook's mood. While juices, fresh brewed coffee and a variety of muffins are available for early risers and late sleepers, the full breakfast between 8:00am and 9:00am adds such entrees as walnut pancakes with orange sauce, mushroom or artichoke quiche, sour cream and chive omelets, baked french toast, cinnamon waffles with Maine maple syrup. All entrees accompanied by honey/mustard sausages, turkey bacon, or sundried tomato and basil sausage.

Inn at Bath
969 Washington Street Bath 04530 Phone : 207-443-4294 Fax : 207-443-4295 The Popham Colony, while established just a few months after the Jamestown settlement in Virginia and some 13 years before the Pilgrims stepped onto Plymouth Rock, was not permanent. Because of hunger, a fire, an unusually severe winter, sickness and the death of many, including Captain Popham, the colony returned to England the following year aboard the Virginia, a 30-ton Pinnance which was built at Popham - the first boat built by Europeans in the New World! We feel that with a small lodging establishment like The Inn at Bath, it is better to speak with our guests directly, so we do not use an on-line booking system. Sometimes in speaking with potential guests we determine that this is not the best fit for them and we refer them elsewhere, better earlier than later! And speaking with guests gives us the opportunity to match our rooms with our guests, talk to you about activities in the Bath area, recommend a fishing guide, a boat ride, a sail charter, or a wonderful restaurant. A thought I'd like to leave with you is that Bath is a small, quiet, unspoiled and beautiful New England town with lots of activities close by; this area can easily be the destination for your holiday, not just the place to stop on your way up the coast! And unlike other charming coastal towns, Bath does not have the huge visitor crowds!
