Northport, Maine is a growing town located between Belfast and Lincolnville. Located on both sides of Route 1, Northport has many picturesque views. On the east side is Penobscot Bay, Saturday Cove, Great Spruce Head and Little Harbor. On the west side is Ducktrap Mountain, Jackson Hill and Knights Pond. We are 77 miles NE of Portland, 35 miles SSW of Bangor and 173 miles NE of Boston.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 34.4 square miles (89.2 km2), of which, 23.7 square miles (61.3 km2) of it is land and 10.8 square miles (27.9 km2) of it (31.30%) is water.
