Welcome to the Magic City Morning Star, the oldest newspaper still in operation in the Katahdin region of Maine, and the only online newspaper covering the Penobscot County towns of Millinocket, East Millinocket, and Medway. The Magic City Morning Star publishes whenever we have something new to add. New articles may appear several times a day or every few days, depending on whether or not we have anything of interest to bring you. It is rare day when we have nothing to say. The Magic City Morning Star is the product of a collective of independent volunteer media; reporters, columnists, and editors who have come together to provide timely news coverage of events in the Katahdin area, a service that is not currently available from other sources. As we provide a distinctly different service, we are not in competition with existing print media, but encourage you to read them, if only for a laugh.
